Your dome on the top of your head can’t break a curbstone, so best go into one at least with a helmet.

Absolutely. I also find full-faced helmets to be significantly more comfortable, since it distributes pressure across your whole head rather than just your forehead.
I’m claustrophobic, and at first it weirded me out somewhat but just like you say if you’ve got the helmet fitting like a glove around your head (size is important ), it feels so much better than some of my previous MTX / half dome helmets.
Also, fun fact: if you ever drop a helmet, it’s best to replace it. That helmet would’ve just compromised its impact structure and will be of no use protecting your head when you actually do take a bad spill from the scoot.
